Hello SuSE folkz, Could somebody tell me please how to reconstruct missing /etc/modules.conf file? May be you can point me to the source where I can find description for the each entry in modules.conf? I'm very interested to create my own modules.config file according to my custom compiled kernel. Unfortunately, I couldn't find more or less descriptive information about what means each block-major or char-major entry in this file? Based on what rule alias char-major-4 defined as a serial port and alias char-major-6 defined as lp? How and by what means modules.conf was created initially? Thank you in advance for any information. Alex -- MS Windows users should be covered under the Americans with Disabilities Act! --------------> Try Linux and you'll understand why <--------------
