Other also means older (other than the avail download version - SuSE ftp site). Besides, I've only used stock rpms. Thank You, Anthony On Thursday 08 November 2001 23:26, Robert C. Paulsen Jr. wrote:

I've tried, repeatedly, to update the "sendmail.....rpm" with no luck. It says installation is complete, however, when I do an "rpm -q sendmail" (as well as look at the status of the rpm in YaST1 Update which reveals an older ("o") version is installed even after installation says otherwise) I am still left with the original installation rpm for sendmail.
Any thoughts?
One thought -- "o" stands for "other", not "older". So, if Yast shows "o" it means that a version other than what's on the distribution C is installed. Perhaps things are OK.
