Hi
Yes, it still behaves that way. I have updated to latest XFree-86 and KDE, but no help.
When I create an icon to desktop, and select /opt/netscape/netscape as the program, and then click on that icon, it starts 2 copies of netscape... weird...
Jaska.
I opened an xterm and issued "netscape &" Netscape opened without the error and the @lock file appeared in the .netscape subdir. When I closed that instance of Netscape the lock file dissappeared! Everything worked as it should! I did a "whereis netscape" and got three locations. Two were links to the third, which was /usr/X11R6/bin/communcator. I had been running /opt/netscape/netscape directly, as an executable. When I pointed my desktop icon to the communicator script and set the type to "application/shellscript" netscape begin behaving correctly. Jerry

Is this problem still present if you change KDE's behaviour to 'double-click to launch applications'?
Just a thought

Hi
I have this weird problem, that by making an icon to KDE desktop, and clicking it, it will launch 2 netscape, so the "later" one will complain about existin netscape running... That is why I start netscape with Alt-F2-netscape.
