Hello Chaps ! Sent a copy of linux to my brother in law, trying to convince him to give up with MSwindows. Myself i configured my modem without problem, it is serial and external. His one is internal. Under MSwindows it appears as COM3. Nevertheless ttyS2 doesn't work. How is it configured under Linux ? (yast2 SuSE 7.1 doesn't recognize it automatically). It is V92. I point out in Yast2 possibilities as ttyACM0, under kppp there is ttyI0, etc,... (why that difference between wvdial and kppp?). Are those the ways to connect an internal modem ? Note : he is at a distance of 500kms from and his configuration was done by phone,.... Rgds to all Jacek
