Corel had a $150 million dollar injection from Microsoft at a time when
they were about to go under. Microsoft saved them as an example of "Hey
look..there's compeditor in our space"..that really can't.
It was expected that they would drop everything related to Linux and
blame their involvement with Linux as the reason they were having so
many issues..and in reality they were just victim to mismanagement and
an 800lb monopoly standing on their necks.
I wouldn't expect Corel to do much for Linux in the future. I would
check out KOffice, StarOffice or Hancom Office for your needs.
