Well, if you use "yast -m" once, it remembers this value as a default,
even if you do not provide this parameter on future YaST startups.
Unfortunately there is no command line switch for color mode :)

Solution: Edit /var/lib/YaST/install.inf and replace the line

Monochrome: 1

with

Monochrome: 0
