Oh, I'm not finished yet. Cliff mentioned UMSDOS, and I'm 3/4 tempted to start playing with that again! ;) Last I checked, the UMSDOS support wouldn't even compile as a module, which is why I poo-pooed the idea initially. With a little bit of hacking, though...
As I move over from Win98, I suspect at the back of my mind was the easy access to Packet CD writing - mainly for my backups.
