Hello, SuSE community!
I have recently installed the 7.3 Professional distribution - no upgrading,
just plain "old-fashion" installation.
My SuSE Help Centre lacks the access to manpages (this used to be
present/enabled in the 7.2 distro). When I try to recreate the help
database (as root, of course) the SuSE Help configuration panel doesn't
even give me the option to index the manpages.
However, I can access the man pages through the Konqueror web browser
(e.g., typing the URL man:printf in the Konqueror's 'Location' field will
display the list of man(1) and man(3) choices as expected).
Has anybody else encountered this problem? Have I missed anything during
the installation? Is there a fix for this?
Thank you in advance,
and
Have a lot of fun!
Cezar
