Since I upgraded to SuSE 7.3, my 3D graphics stopped working. By this I mean that the 3D graphics are slow and jerky, just as if mesasoft were being used. Previously, I had already upgraded my SuSE 7.2 to use XF86 4.1.0 and had 3D graphics working OK. I am using the same XF86Config file as before. I am using the same 1600x1200x16bit resolution as before. /var/log/XFree86.0.log shows no errors. It shows that the modules dre, dri, and glx are loaded OK. I ran the command switch2xf86_glx. I ran SaX2 to regenerate the XF86Config file and restarted X. This built a XF86Config without the dre module, but I put it back and tried it both ways (with and without dre). All to no avail. I have a Matrox G450. -- ____________________________________________________________________ Robert Paulsen paulsen@texas.net
