Hi folks, I have a DSL at home, router=3Com 812. In LAN i have 2 machines, a Windows and a SuSE 7.1. I have foward TCP ports 21, 22, 23 and 80 to linux machine and others to windows one, so if anyone connect to mi public ip and looks for ftp, telnet, ssh or http, the linux must answer petitions. This have been working until i need to reinstall linux. Since that, it doesn`t work anymore. I`ve test and this are my conclusions: -Using LAN, ftp, telnet ssh and http in linux answer perfectly -Router`s configuration is well set, i have tested to set a FTP server in windows machine and it works correctly fron inet. -When i try to access linus server usisng any of ports named above, the server doesn`t reject my comunication, just seens like no ports where working. Making a "netstat -a" i can see that all port where listening. -portmap is well configurated, anyway, y have writed a ALL:ALL hosts.allow -No system log appears in linux. -I have removed Personal Firewall and ipchains from machine. -I assume it must works, it has been working several weeks. Maybe there is some key about this problem in SuSE configuration using Yast, but i don`t know it. Any helpfully idea will be welcome. Thank and sorry about my inglish :-(.
