What gives people the idea that they have to buy a new
version 4-5 times a year?
Please consider the following points:
1) You don't have to upgrade each time.
2) SuSE only releases approximately 2 versions every year.
3) If you want to upgrade without paying, there is always ftp.
Please use a mirror.
I usually buy one of each major version. (5.3, 6.3 and 7.2 so far.)
This amounts to one box about once every 2 years. Even I can afford that.
In between, I have either downloaded or just skipped that version -
depending on the type of internet access I had at the moment.
