well yes. that's kde. but there has to be a setting for bass, trebles, wave and volume BEFORE starting kde. example: anytime i reboot and start mp3blaster for instance which is console(!), i have the same things.
where is that setting OUTSIDE kde?
That depends .. There's a whole bunch of tools that can help you set your audio settings: % man -k mixer aumix (1) - adjust audio mixer nmixer (1) - An interactive text-based sound-mixer control program amixer (1) - commandline mixer for ALSA soundcard driver alsamixer (1) - soundcard mixer for ALSA soundcard driver, with ncurses interface smix (1) - a mixer for Linux xmix (1) - X Windows (Xaw) interface to Linux Sound Driver Mixer aumix is probably what you want. read the manpages, and stick aumix somewhere in your boot sequence (do man insserv to find out how tyo stick your custom boot scripts in the init sequence).
