Has anyone find anywhere on SuSE's ftp site that has all the updates for 7.2 in one directory instead of the myriad of subdirectories I found? I do not want to use the auto-update since I need to update over 100 workstations on an isolated network.
Do you mean the tool "auto-update"? It's especially made for this. 1st update from the suse-server to your own server and from there you can install the approved packages on your workstations. search the net for autoupdate. Or you may be interested in aptate (apt update). This is work in progress but it mirrors the suse repository and it creates an apt structured repository for rpm package based distributions. In the latter case all the (suse base) rpm's are in 1 directory. A bit more info about it at http://apt4rpm.sourceforge.net, the project page is I believe at http://sourceforge.net/projects/apt4rpm (look for cvs to find the code). -- Richard Bos For those who have no home the journey is endless
