Hello,
Hi
Actually text-mode works until I run X the first time. After X, text-mode is not working.. It seems that X leaves the Matrox to another frequency that my monitors are not supporting.
Thats odd -- very odd. Since the console offers no GUI, it
should work like a charm....in theory.
What you can do, is to use a handy utility called:
vgaset
this will list the refresh /frequency rate of your monitor.
You might also want to look at the following program:
SVGATextConsole....
This allows you to tweak your monitor while in text-mode,
as it were.
Incidentally, you might try frame buffering......
