Sometimes it is just enough to recreate your partitions exactly as you had them before (without recreating the file systems.) For that to work, you should have printed and saved the partition table. It is a good practice and I'd suggest everybody do it as a preventative measure. Well sure Rafael, I have logs about my partition data. But whenever I run "fdisk /dev/hda" it ### EXITS ### and does not even edit data. It $#§% exits with "unable to read hda" - as if I did not know. So that is of no use.
