I am trying to install SuSE 7.1 on a Gateway 2000 G6-200 computer. This computer has no IDE CD-ROM and no IDE hard disks. The CD and hard disks are all connected to an Adaptec AHA-2940UW SCSI controller. I can boot from the boot disk, and when prompted, I insert the modules disk. It seems when SuSE setup tries to load the aic7xxx driver for the Adaptec, the system hangs. The computer boots and runs just fine with Windows NT, so it does not appear to be hardware related. When trying a RedHat 6.2 install, the computer also hung when trying to load the aic7xxx drivers. I have upgraded the AHA-2940UW BIOS to version 2.2 and that didn't help either. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks
