Hey all or the few that may have an answer! :-) I have just recently installed CUPS as my base spooler and printer drivers. Quite by accident, I might add, but I am glad it did as I like it very much better than the BSD/lprold setup. Better drivers and more control over printing. But I digress, my real problem is that now I cannot print out of Star Office any longer. All other programs seem to work well, except maybe for KWord won't print out Times & Helvetica any more, but I have many other fonts, so that's not a biggy. I have checked the settings in SO and all looks good, it's using lp or lpr, I don't remember now and the generic printer driver. Of course, it has to go thru Ghostscript I believe to print to non-postscript printers. Mine is the HP Deskjet 850C and it worked great with the BSD setup and SO before. Any suggestions and/or advice where to start? end of line Tracer -- ---KMail 1.3.1--- SuSE Linux v7.2--- Registered Linux User #225206 /tracerb@sprintmail.com/ *Magic Page Products* *Team Amiga* http://home.sprintmail.com/~tracerb
