No, I used both the normal bootdisk and the i386 disk from CD#1. If it would help I can copy down all the numbers and email them to you.
No, that should not required. Have you been able to install an older version of SuSE Linux on this system? Can you provide some more details about the hardware? What kind of CD-ROM driver does it have?
Have you looked at http://www.linux-laptop.net/toshiba.html for hints?

HI Lenz et al.. I dug out an old 5.2 demo disk I have. I made a bootdisk with it, and it WORKED! NOW the problem is that I still need to do a NSF install and my network card is not listed. I have a Genius Land Pocket adaptor, this thing goes in the printer port. The Genius web site said that it's the same as a "Realtek Pocket adaptor with a RTL 8012 chip". On my 7.2 system YAST has a "At-lan-tec / Realtek Pocket adaptor" -- is this the same? Is there anyway I can add this driver to the 5.2 bootdisk so I can do an NFS install? Or will I have to do a hard disk install? Also is there anyway I can get 7.2 install on this monster? I looked at the toshiba web site that you wrote about and it was basicly about how to configure your system after it was installed.
