The thing is, everything works fine, it's just that the samba server doesn't show up in the Network Neighborhood. But I can find the server (find - computer) I can see it with NET VIEW, I can connect to its shared folders etc. Only Network Neighborhood is not working. Maybe this is a Win98 problem/bug? well... Sorry, I'm late....
Perhaps you could check the ownership/permissions of the folders/files that you want shared.

I have the following problem.
My SuSE 7.1 server uses Samba for 3 Win98 boxes. It is working
fine. I have
some Login scripts that connect the right folders to the right network drives in Win98. I can find the server from Windows with: Find Computer
But the network neighborhood refuses to show the shares. It produces an error messages: "Can't find Network, No access to network" (or something similar, I'm using Dutch Window)
What am I missing?
thanks
