update: I finally got to the other consoles:
Sep 14 11:33:15 (none) -- MARK --
eth0: using NWAY device table, not 8
and
Loading Image "/pub/suse/i386/7.2/suse/images/root"...
Loading of rootimage returns 0
Loading of init-sys returns 0
Starting "/sbin/YaST"

Subject: [SLE] ftp install of 7.2
I am doing an ftp install of 7.2 from ftp.suse.com and everything works
great, but the install always seems to hang after about 80 packages . . .
text mode or graphical mode. Does anyone know if there is a way to skip a
file that seems hung or to break out and re-connect without starting over? I
have only been able to ctrl+alt+del and start from scratch. If I ALT+F1 to
another console I see:
okay, scratch that, in the graphical mode I cannot seem to switch to
another console as I did in the text mode, or I am frozen completely, which
I dont often see in linux :)
TIA
Chris
