am thinking of allowing students to install SuSE via ftp or NFS. I would like to know whether any list members could make some suggestions about the best way to do this. For instance, I will not be popular if I swamp the college's Internet connection by having 15 users simultaneously installing from an outside source, so would like to know what I should install on one of the good PCs to give the best facilities for this installation - a copy of the installation CD or a copy of some part of
Setup a pc with a lot of disk space. the entire suse distro is about 6G if the pc is connected to the LAN and is accessed by local peers, traffic would not be a problem not unless your network can't handle it, and allow only local traffic to access your suse installer ftp server. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
