*******Where does a newborn go from here? The net is vast , and infinite********* Hi wizzards and guru types, I see no meniton of this in any of my current stack of Linux books ( and already passed the 7.2 stuff on... We are , um, invading Oklahoma , in manner of speaking <G>) I keep getting the following message when I boot Kernal: Ip_contrack ( 2560 buckets ,20480 max ) On this box it seems not to mean anything much that might be a "bad thing" However , on my other "art" box the numbers are very much larger , and the number of "buckets" exceeds the "max" number by quite a lot .. and it takes an eternity for the desktop to draw if there is any need to change usr or reboot ( or more correctly boot, after a shutdown, usually because we have been a "lightning" target lately... It hasn't hit anything, but considering the location and that we would be out of town for a week or ten days , the last shutdown lasted about two weeks... and it would seem something didn't go happily) Help would be greatly appreciated .. afterthought: > ...
