Well I was excited...... I installed the vmware 3.0beta (rpm) after uninstalling the version that comes on the SuSE cd's, as per the instructions. Now the vmware-config script won't build the modules because it cannot find the kernel C headers. Ok, poop on this, I'll just uninstall the beta and reinstall the SuSE version. Well, now that won't work either. I have gone to the SuSE site and found the doc explaining how to make it all work, however I am curious as to why I never had to do this when I installed 7.2 and moved over some VM's I had in storage. The vmware-config script worked perfectly then. Just two nights ago, I created a virtual server with vmware and SuSE 7.2 as the guest OS, that worked flawlessy. Anybody have a clue as to why I now have to go through a *bunch* of steps after reinstalling SuSE's version of Vmware? This is kinda bizarre. Am I forgetting something? I don't *believe* I ever upgraded the version from what is on the cd's. I have all the kernel sources and what-have-you installed. I am *virtually* frustrated. -- TRBishop tb64710@alltel.net SuSE 7.2 Pro
