The links you posted are actually generic rpm's. They are not suse specific. In particular, you wont find the switch2nvidia_glx script in them. -----Original Message----- From: Karol Pietrzak [mailto:noodlez84@earthlink.net] Sent: Thursday, 6 September 2001 8:20 PM To: suse-linux-e@suse.com Subject: Re: [SLE] updated NVIDIA drivers available [UPDATE] On 6 Sep 2001, Karol Pietrzak wrote: http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?PAGE=linux .... Please note the as of this writing (8.5.2001), the SuSE 7.x RPMs were not available for download, although they were listed. The SRPMs are also _not_ downloadable but listed. My guess is that NVIDIA didn't syncronize their release of this. I feel confident that in the next few days both the SRPMs and SuSE 7.x RPMs will be available.
I spoke too soon. Although what I have said is true _for the HTTP site_, the FTP site has everything the SuSE user needs: NVIDIA-GLX: ftp://209.249.170.24/pub/drivers/english/XFree86_40/1.0- 1512/NVIDIA_GLX-1.0-1512.i386.rpm NVIDIA-KERNEL: ftp://209.249.170.24/pub/drivers/english/XFree86_40/1.0- 1512/NVIDIA_kernel-1.0-1512.src.rpm Upgrade the RPM using 'rpm -Uvh NVIDIA_GLX-1.0-1512.i386.rpm' and build the SRPM by 'rpm --rebuild NVIDIA_kernel-1.0- 1512.src.rpm'.
