Hi, Try to uncomment this line in your /etc/fstab with a #: /dev/cdrecorder /media/cdrecorder auto ro,noauto,user,exec 0 0 and put this line instead: /dev/sr0 /media/cdrecorder auto ro,noauto,user,exec 0 0 Jostein

Hi,
Can you include the commands you used for symlinking to the cdrom and cdrecorder?
My first suggestion is that you can try to remove the symlink to your cdrom. The cdrecorder should be symlinked to scd1. Run SuSEconfig and reboot.
Try now to mount your cdrecorder with 'mount /dev/sr0 /dev/cdrecorder'.
Check 'cdrecord --scanbus', and if you can see the cdrecorder in Xcdroast.
Jostein
Followed your instructions. Mount command gave "Can't find /dev/sr0 in /etc/fstab" Both xcdroast and cdrecord -scanbus show my scsi scanner on scsi0 but nothing else. Peter
