I even tried getting the latest drivers (just released), but everytime I try to compile Evolution 0.12 I it gets errors and won't install (it configures fine now, but shows errors on the compile). I tried the Ximian rpm, but it keeps having 'issues' with missing libraries that weren't needed a week ago (the latest being libgtkhtml.so.14 -- the Evolution tar ball said it only needed 0.11, I installed 0.12).

Install Ximian gnome and then use Red Carpet to install evolution plus
its dependencies plus the bonobo-conf and libbonobo-conf. On a SuSE 7.2
system this will give you a working evolution 0.13. Once you have
evolution working you can use it in the window manager of your choice.
Downloading Ximian to get Evolution probably makes evolution the bloat
champion of the world. Two of the people I have done this for have said
that evolution was worth it.
Compiling evolution and tracking down the dependencies for evolution was
a royal pain. It would take 2 days to get Evo 0.11 working; downloading
ximian and resolving the dependencies for evolution is about 2 hours
(ADSL) and you get Evo 0.13 on a SuSE 7.2 system. Evo 0.13 is noticably
improved over 0.11.
Ximian definitely took their time supporting SuSE 7.1 and 7.2 (and
Mandrake 7.2 and 8.0). But they are currently supporting these distos
now. Ximian has been very responsive to email comments from SuSE users
in the last week that I am aware of.
