I have seen the message, just do not remember which version of evolution
and which version of SuSE.  If you try and load evolution from a teminal,
there is usually a slightly better indication of the exact problem.  Try:
1. reloading evolution, especially from a term and see what the messages
in the term say, or 
2. as of today I have received confirmation from Ximian that bonobo-conf
AND libbononbo-cond are both required for evolution.  Neither is/was
loaded by the Ximian installer.  Make sure that you have both of these
files.
