Which model Compaq server are you using? If it is an EISA bus model, then the onboard SCSI controller has no Linux driver - you would have to install a linux recognised SCSI card and connect the DLT to that. Tony At 22:42 04/09/2001 +0200, Yvon VODOUNON wrote:
Hi all,
I need to use a Compaq DLT 40/80 Backup Drive on Suse 6.4 Server with Raid Smart Array. The Smart Array is in use wiht 3 physical Disk for 1 logicl volume. It's running perfect. The DLT Drive is plugged on external scsi port and is detected by the bios, but not by linux kernel.
Any help is welcome.
