Hello

Using SUSE 7.2

Are xscanimage and xsane the same software regarding which scanner, is
been used.

Which is the best?

I cannot get xsane to work but have got xscanimage working but am
worried I may be taking 2nd best regarding the software for scanners.

I am using Scanner dev/sg1....model  Canon, Canoscan 300

Is they better scanning software than this?

I also have Gimp installed but I cant get it working with the
xscanimage, something is quite not correct.

in the gimp plug in folder I have xscanimage but no reference to the
scanner in gimp tool bar etc...


Ideas & views relating to what my problems are and how to solve them?
