Hi, To start mysql automatically, assuming you're using the suse mysql package, all you have to do is edit rc.config and change the line START_MYSQL="no" to START_MYSQL="yes" regards Anders On Monday 27 August 2001 19.56, Alejandro Molina wrote:
Hello, I am relatively new to Suse Linux, I have configured a server with mysql, apache and php. But now when I come to set mysql to start automatically there I have to deal with the somehow strange machine startup mode for suse. Can somebody explain me how does it exactly works at its most simple form? I tried to modidy rc.config adding some lines(by suggestion of the mysql manual) and got a lot of problems with the os now. I suppose that the file was corrupted or something like that.
Thanks
