I am trying to install Suse 7.2 on an older HP Omnibook laptop. I have to do an NFS install as the system doesn't have a CD drive and only 16mb ram. I need to activate a swap partition before starting the install as 16mb isn't enough to do a network install. How the heck do I do this? I can't find anywhere where I can drop out to a console, or any menu options allowing me to create/activate any swap. Here is my procedure so far: Boot from floppy Insert the modules floppy when prompted to load the PCMCIA drivers I am notified that the CD wasn't found and that install would continue in manual mode Start Install NFS install Configure IP/gateway/etc It gets to "Loading data into ramdisk (17950kB)...", loads about 1/3 of the file and locks up. System is out of ram at this point One document I found on suse.com made it sound like I should have a menu option somewhere to setup a swap partition before beginning install... Thanks in advance. -- Brian Youngstrom briany@altavista.net
