I'm really having a hard time tweaking my video driver on my dell inspiron 8000. I've read about 100 notes on the internet people have about making the video work and lots of XF86Config-4. (and tried lots of them). Redhat has one they distribute which seems to work the closest, but here are my two problems.
1. The documentation says the bios should automatically switch between ext. monitor and internal based on bios knowing. I've updated to the latest bios A13.
2. I have an external 21"monitor that runs at 45-60Mhz. Under win2k, it runs at 70-90Mhz. It makes me dizzy in Linux. how can I make the refresh rate higher?
