On Fri, 17 Aug 2001 04:19:21 +0200 Hello Stefan from Lourens: [snipped] " " w83781d 16864 0 (unused) " sensors 6192 0 [w83781d] " i2c-viapro 3856 0 (unused) " i2c-core 12400 0 [w83781d sensors i2c-viapro] " " I have an Asus A7M266. Sensors detect detected the wrong modules on my " mobo. " I also had random numbers. " I tried loading other modules and finally came up with those above that " works. [end snipped] Thanks for sharing your config with me, it gave me some ideas. According to some info from www.livewiredev.com.asus.html, Asus A7V133 and A7M266 share the 'Primary Sensor Chip" (AS99127F), 'Case Sensor' (Asus 1) and "CPU Sensor' (Asus 2) ?? [1] /etc/sensors.conf chip "as99127f-*" # Same as above for w83782d except that in5 and in6 negative voltages # are computed as in the w83781d. [2] /usr/share/doc/packages/sensors/chips Kernel driver `w83781d.o' ========================= Status: W83781D support is complete and well-tested. W83782D support is complete and well-tested. W83783S support is complete but has not been well-tested. W83627HF support is complete but has not been well-tested. AS99127F support is BETA and has known problems due to lack of a chip datasheet. See below. It seems that our sensor chip is not fully supported thanks to Asus not releasing the datasheet. It is about time for my mobo rotation and guess who is not on my list. I will stick to mobos that use components that are not "propriety". BTW My voltage readings are OK using your configs but the temp values are still crazy. Bye. *** If you find a solution and become attached to it, the solution may become your next problem. *** Powered by SuSE Linux 7.2 Professional Registered Linux User Lourens Steenkamp Republic of South Africa _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
