I've tried 'sensors' but it gives silly values for everything but the CPU fan speed. I ran sensors-detect and it recognised my via chipset correctly and all the i2c modules were loaded. No joy. Tim Harrell

Is there a script that will show cpu temperature.. from bios ?
Yes, have a look at the "sensors" packages. There are graphical frontends like "ksysguard" or "gkrellm" that can display these values nicely.
