For some obscure reason (probably lack of space), SuSE has decided to remove reiserfs support from the standard kernel, including the one in the bootdisk.
Now, how can I add reiserfs support to the SuSE 7.2 bootdisk process, e.g., to install or update SuSE from a reiserfs partition?
The 2.4.4 kernel is optimised by SuSE for reiserfs. It also uses modules so you need to have /boot as ext2 to ensure that the module is loaded.
No, I'm not talking about the normal boot process. I'm talking about the bootdisk: the 1.44Mb floppy boot disk. If I boot from that floppy, how can I load the reiserfs module? Best regards, Afonso Infante.
