Unlike SuSE 6.4, SuSE 7.2 executes some scripts hourly via 59 * * * * root rm -f /var/spool/cron/lastrun/cron.hourly in /etc/crontab. I think its worth not having this command appearing in syslog by default by putting '-' in front (otherwise /var/log/messages etc wil get a lot of messages saying "/USR/SBIN/CRON[11450]: (root) CMD ( rm -f /var/spool/cron/lastrun/cron.hourly) " etc. Thats my 2 cents worth.
