You are trying to compile a package that depends on openmotif. You need to install openmotif-devel, which includes the header files it's complaining about Regards Anders On Monday 09 July 2001 00:45, David McGlone wrote:
I cannot seem to use "make" for anything on my system. Every .tar package I try and make gives me errors. Here is what I did
tar zxvf <packagename>.tar.gz
cd <packagename>
./configure
at this point everything seems to work fine. Then when I do "make" I get this:
dmcglone@ameritech:~/plan-1.8.4/src > make env CF="-I/usr/X11R6/include -D_POSIX_SOURCE -DNOLOCK -DLINUX" L1F="-L/usr/X11R6 /lib -L/usr/lib/X11R6/lib -lSM -lXm -lXt -lX11 -lXpm -lc -lXext -lSM -lICE -lX11 " L2F="-lc" MYCC=gcc make all make[1]: Entering directory `/home/dmcglone/plan-1.8.4/src' gcc -O2 -DPLANLOCK=\""/tmp/.plan%d"\" -DPLANDLOCK=\""/tmp/.pland%d"\" -I/usr/X1 1R6/include -D_POSIX_SOURCE -DNOLOCK -DLINUX -c main.c main.c:30: Xm/Xm.h: No such file or directory main.c:31: Xm/Text.h: No such file or directory make[1]: *** [main.o] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/dmcglone/plan-1.8.4/src' make: *** [linux] Error 2
Why can't I do anything? I never have a problem with RPM's, but all the sudden im having all types of problems with .tar, no matter what package im trying to compile.
