If it is d:\cdrom in Windows, it would not be /cdrom in Linux. What is the mount point in your Linux (/etc/fstab)? For mine, it would be /win98/cdrom since win98 is my windows partition's moint point. HTH ;)
Well I haven't installed SuSe yet. That's what I'm trying to do. You do have a good point, though. It first asks for the partition, where I type in /dev/hda5 , and then it asks for the directory the installation is in (it had /cdrom by default so that's why I tried naming the folder in Windows as d:\cdrom ). I assumed that / would be the start of /dev/hda5 (since it did ask me for /dev/hda5 ), but now I'm wondering where it's mounting /dev/hda5 to begin with. Again, I'm doing a fresh install of SuSe 7.2 . -- Bart Szyszka bart@gigabee.com ICQ:4982727 GigaBee ...is here to save the Web! http://www.gigabee.com
