SuSEfirewall in 7.1
Hi

I am upgrading our ISDN mail server/gateway to 7.1; previously set up using
6.3 with the firewall configured for masquerading, etc. After upgrading by
way of a clean install, the ISDN and ethernet interfaces have been
successfully configured and everything loads as it should. I am now trying
to configure masquerading via SuSEfirewall. So far as I can see, I have
configured firewall.rc.config correctly, defining static IP addresses for
eth0 and ippp0 to force the rules to load before the interfaces are actually
up. The SuSEfirewall script runs 3 times on boot up, and by the end of the
process there is this message :

Failed services in runlevel 3 : SuSEfirewall_init S...._setup
S......_final

No matter what I try I can not prevent this from happening. I have looked in
the SuSEfirewall docs for illumination without success. Yet
/var/log/messages has the line:

Firewall rules successfully set from /etc/rc/config.d/firewall.rc.config.

Any suggestions please? Is the firewall active as it should be?

Thanks in advance
