This line is generated when you install SuSE. I don't if the config tools modify it. In any case, this is used by a script called mk_initrd, a utility to be used to configure your boot process. Try this: - install the new kernel (you did this already, right?) - run 'mk_initrd' - run 'lilo' - re-boot the machine. -- Rafael
