You're running on SCSI hard disks, right? It's required for them, not for reiserfs in general Regards Anders On Friday 15 June 2001 11:27, Nash Hoogwater wrote:
Mantel himself told me to use it and otherwise, I can't get it to work.

aic7xxx is the driver module for a class of scsi adapters from Adaptec. What makes you think it's required for reiserfs?

Hi Olly,
Mantel's rpm do support ReiserFs, but you have to add 2 modules to INITRD_MODULES in rc.config: aic7xxx reiserfs. Aic7xxx won't load correctly when booting, but you can ignore it (it's necessary for Reiserfs).
First you have done: rpm -Uhv kernel...rpm, next just: mk_initrd, lilo and reboot.
Greetings,
Nash
