I also have kdm, latest nvidia drivers (and of course SuSE). I don't have the bug either. I must add, though, that I compiled my KDE2 myself. Has everybody who uses SuSE, kdm and the drivers this problem? You seem to think so
From Paul Abrahams to SuSE listserve about [SLE] Is the NVidia bug...:
Here's a post on the KDE user list that is of great interest:

There's a problem that's plaguing our boxes (nvidia drivers, nvidia hardware, suse 7.1 kde2.X.X)
When logged in through KDM (init 5) I cannot switch to the virtual konsoles (ctrl-alt-F1 &c).
Aparently this problem is not eveident if you use gdm ..
Im wondering if this problem is Suse related, or kde 2 related. (or most likely, the nvidia drivers problem ;l)
Anyone else who has this problem

I have latest NVIDIA drivers, kernel 2.4.5, and KDE2.1.2 and can switch all day. Doesn't rule out the hardware and drivers but suggests it is SUSE Will tell more on config etc if wanted.
