Milnes Terry SSgt 52 OSS/OSOMS
I have a ATI All-in-Wonder Pro card that I am trying to get to work with GATOS. I have downloaded GATOS's binary drivers for Xfree86 4.0.3. I did what the directions say to do, however, when I try to run XawTV that came w/ SuSE 7.1Pro it comes up with /dev/video not installed(or some such). I have tried running v4l-conf and same /dev/video problem. Has anyone gotten GATOS to work on SuSE 7.1? If so, can you help me out. Also, is there any drivers to turn on DRI/GLX/Render extensions on for this card? Thanks!
LiViD drivers are a bit tedious to use and they are still in early developement.
Try to use GATOS (http://www.linuxvideo.org/devel/data/gatos.tar.gz). It should
be easy to compile. Then use xatitv to watch TV. I know that they say to use
ati.2 drivers and XawTV on 4.x.x but before I upgrade to AIW Radeon I used to
use xatitv with an AIW 128 16Mo with 4.0.2 with great success.
HTH, regards...
