I don't think that assumption is correct. I'd go to the Nvidia site. You
want version 1251 of the drivers, although I remember having a hard time
locating it on the site. The correct URL was posted here a while ago but I
can't find it. If you have no better luck than I do, you might want to post a
query as to the correct path to the 1251 drivers.
They don't solve the problem, but they probably do provide about as stable a
system as you're going to get with the problem left unsolved.
