Dude..how much crack are you on? You talk to SOLARIS users. I have those
at work. I am one of them...but I also use SuSE/Linux. Linux is banned
in my company from problems that happened years ago..well. It's banned
outwardly..they can know you installed it, but yet no one will say
anything if you did. It's rather strange. I have to have a Sun Solaris
box since that's what I work with now.
Never, never take the word of someone you just met. Old school Unix guys
at lot of times will talk shit about Linux .. one of the bosses in my
department is an old school unix guy turned manager. He hasn't really
seen Linux in 5 years..at least not in action, but I'll tell you this.
He can really talk up some shit about it. After I figured out he
suffered from nasal-anal loopback when it came to Linux/FreeBSD..etc. I
disregarded his opinion on the subject.
oh well. If you want to go run Solaris X86 I wish you the pain your
GOING to get. It's horrible and for the most part unsupported. You are
in for a very rude awaking if you buy a Sparc box and think your not
going to rebuild the OS install and install a lot .. a lot of GNU apps.
*laugh* I almost wish I could be there. :)
I can't stand it...I have to get a coffee..and a smoke. This just brings
tears to my eyes that you would send this to this ...haha.. oh brother.

->I think SuSE is for America's markets. Sorry anyway.
