I'm using kernel 2.4.2 and I have a scsi cd writer & an ATAPI cd writer (hdb), I have set lilo to append hdb=ide-scsi. My normal scsi cd writer is addressed as /dev/scd0 and works OK, anybody know what address I should use to connect the ATAPI cd writer now?
Try "cdrecord --scanbus"....... And it should name every available scsi resource.
It doesn't help:
cdrecord -scanbus Cdrecord 1.9 (i686-suse-linux) Copyright (C) 1995-2000 Jörg Schilling Linux sg driver version: 3.1.17 Using libscg version 'schily-0.1' scsibus0: 0,0,0 0) 'HP ' 'CD-Writer+ 9100 ' '1.0b' Removable CD-ROM 0,1,0 1) * ... 0,7,0 7) *
