Sorry that you are having problems with this (its working great on my server, no problems at all). You can use iptables as you would any other distro. But probably the best thing to do would be to go and subscribe to the security mailing list (I believe its suse-security@suse.com). Looking through your script, maybe changing this: FW_MASQ_DEV="$FW_DEV_EXT" To this: FW_MASQ_DEV="ppp0" Not sure what the difference between ippp0 and ppp0 is though? Only used this with an Ethernet option :-). The security mailing will probably give you more of a direct answer I am sure. Matt
