Quake 3 has a patch that enables Winblow versions to install as native linux. The readme at lokigames tells you to make a couple of directories, copy a couple of files used for the winblow version to those directories, then run an installer - viola - Q3A on linux (or you could support them and buy the full native version) runs great.
