ls -la /home/rs9735/public_html ls: /home/rs9735/public_html: No such file or directory WHAT?!?!?! ls -la /home/rs9735 drwxr-xr-x 2 rs9735 users 61 May 18 01:28 pubic_html Ok, I'm confused. You could check the Apache's log files which should be located somewhere under /var Maybe you will find there more information about your problem.

What is the error yuo received from your browser?

But I *did* open the permissions. I also made sure that mod_userdir is enabled in the httpd.conf

Still, I can't get user-pages.

Any ideas?

all /home directories are secured by default. you need to set permissions for the user you are.

Ok, maybe I'm just missing something here, but I can't get Apache to allow $HOME/public_html to be used.

I installed the modules, as well as the contrib packages.

What else do I need to do?
