Hopefully my last e-mail got out unto the world. If you get the tarballs of the Nvidia kernel you can edit the file os-registry and find the X4 AGP rate and others in that particular file. Doing a make make install should take care of the rest (as well as a reboot). To check to make sure that everything is running you can do a cat /proc/nv/card0 which will tell you the status of the card and what it is running etc. Matt On Tue, 15 May 2001, Curtis Rey wrote:
Yes, of course. I'm looking for things to optimize the the vram or the agp rate. Tried to ren testgart, but in stall in kde and locks every thing up. Maybe I'll just have to play UT in Ice.
Thanks :) Curtis Rey

I am hoping someone will be able to tell how to optimize the performance of my GeForce2-MX. I have the lastest drivers installed, from SuSE and they match the current nVidia drivers.
I have loaded X with 'Load "glx" and have set the 'Section "Device"' with 'Option "NvAGP" "1"'
Section "Device" BoardName "RivaTNT2" BusID "1:5:0" Driver "nvidia" ----- did you change this line from nv to read nvidia?? ------- Identifier "Device[0]" Screen 0 VendorName "Nvidia" EndSection
